Energy Consumption & Management

At Toyoplas, our operations primarily rely on electricity supplied by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), with diesel and petrol used for company vehicles.

As part of our sustainability journey, we have already installed solar panels at our facilities to reduce reliance on conventional energy sources and lower our carbon footprint. This marks a significant step toward cleaner energy usage and operational efficiency.

We are committed to continuously improving our energy management practices and expanding the use of renewable energy across our operations.

Pollution Prevention & Chemical Management

We are committed to responsible environmental practices in line with our ISO 14001:2015 certification. We conduct regular pollution monitoring to ensure compliance and to minimise environmental impact across all our operations.

Our facilities are equipped with proper air ventilation systems, and all employees are provided with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to safeguard their health and safety.

Water quality testing is carried out regularly by independent third-party laboratories to ensure environmental safety. In addition, all waste materials are managed in accordance with legal and regulatory standards, and are handled exclusively by licensed third-party disposal partners, ensuring safe and compliant waste management throughout our operations.

Water & Effluent Management

Toyoplas is committed to using water responsibly across all operations. We have taken active steps to reduce water consumption through the implementation of various water-saving initiatives at our facilities.

All liquid waste is securely stored in a controlled environment and is disposed of responsibly by licensed third-party providers in accordance with environmental regulations.

Materials Consumption

Toyoplas is committed to efficient material use and waste reduction. We actively re-use packaging materials, helping to minimise waste and reduce costs.

Production scrap is closely monitored against a defined KPI, and we incorporate recycled materials into our processes where feasible.

While overall material usage has increased due to higher production demand, our consumption-to-revenue ratio continues to improve, reflecting better resource efficiency.

Waste Management

Toyoplas ensures all scheduled and hazardous waste is handled in full compliance with regulations and disposed of by licensed contractors. Regular audits help us monitor waste composition and identify reduction opportunities.

While non-hazardous waste increased due to higher production volumes, we recorded no environmental incidents, fines, or penalties during the period.

Looking ahead, we are strengthening our efforts in waste segregation and recycling, with structured collection and collaboration with certified recycling centres to minimise environmental impact.

Note:
General non-hazardous waste comprises of non-production generated waste and food waste from the canteen
